For new clients, the creative development process can be a bit mysterious. At Mindspan, our goal is to eliminate the mystery. Our process follows six simple steps that add clarity, transparency and predictability to our working relationships. They are:
Learn
This is the "getting to know you" step. It all starts with the Mindspan Creative Blueprint, a kind of impressionistic autobiography of your organization and its needs, which we ask you to complete before or during our first meeting. Then, we set up a face-to-face meeting with critical decision-makers to get a more complete, more specific picture of your business or organization, your competition, your marketplace and your goals. After the meeting, we will often undertake independent research into your field, competition or industry. Your input and involvement at this stage is especially important.
Distill / Concept
This step involves taking what we learned from step one and distilling facts, figures and other information into concepts that reflect the personality and goals of your organization. We focus on your strengths and your points of differentiation to craft a look and messaging that reflect who you are and speaks powerfully to your intended audience.
Present
Once we have completed concepts, we meet with you to present the ideas behind them, answer your questions and obtain feedback from all critical decision-makers. For clients outside, we frequently present concepts online.

Refine / Distill / Present
Based on feedback from all your decision-makers, we refine (or finalize) concepts, taking into account all comments and suggestions. This step ends only with your sign-off on a final version.
Implement
Once we have your approval, we manage the printing and/or production of all materials, ensuring that every piece meets your and our expectations. Depending on the nature of the work, we may also educate your colleagues on the usage of logos, taglines, and other materials to make sure your visual identity is used consistently and to greatest effect. This step is essential to maintaining the integrity of your identity.
Evaluate
At Mindspan, our interest in our clients doesn't end once a job is done. We take pains to determine the long-term success of our efforts. Drawing on feedback from you, research and a variety of other means, we can track the effectiveness of our work and use that information to make future projects with you even more successful.
